About The Position

Under the supervision of the Ambulatory Clinical Manager, Practice Manager, or assigned leadership—and in collaboration with a Licensed Independent Practitioner—this role supports clinical and administrative functions in an ambulatory care setting. The position delivers patient- and family-centered care across all age groups, ensuring services align with organizational standards, policies, and values. This role emphasizes quality, efficiency, and coordination of care while promoting a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, patient intake, clinical support, documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), and follow-up care coordination. The position also supports operational workflows, maintains patient confidentiality, and contributes to a collaborative, team-based environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Medical Assistant certification REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of relevant clinical experience or completion of a formal MA program
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Support daily clinical and administrative operations in an ambulatory setting
  • Perform patient intake, including vital signs, histories, and documentation in EMR
  • Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, referrals, and authorizations
  • Assist providers with exams and procedures using proper techniques
  • Perform basic clinical tests (e.g., EKG, glucose, urinalysis, rapid tests)
  • Administer vaccines and support follow-up care and lab tracking
  • Ensure accurate patient records, billing information, and financial processes
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness, equipment readiness, and supply inventory
  • Provide patient education and support care coordination
  • Uphold safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
