About The Position

Adelphi is seeking Medical Assistants to provide services at a correctional facility in Tallahassee, Florida. The ideal candidates will provide services to inmates at the facility while ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Medical Assistant in the State of Florida
• CPR/AED certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and mid-level practitioners in clinical tasks.
• Perform venipuncture and urinalysis.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and operate medical equipment like EKG machines.
• Provide basic first aid and triage.
• Maintain medical records and supplies.
• Perform duties within the scope of the current licensure.
• Any other duties assigned.
