About The Position

Colorado Physician Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their Aurora Family Practice Group. This role involves collaborating with Clinical services staff to provide outstanding patient care and exceptional customer service. The Medical Assistant will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.

Requirements

• Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately
• High degree of diplomacy and tact
• Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills
• Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Knowledge of “Universal Precautions” and adherence to HIPAA standards
• High school diploma or GED required
• Current, valid CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Review and update patient records before face-to-face or Telehealth appointments, ensuring all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date
• Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards
• Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen
• Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately
• Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations
• Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly
