About The Position

We are committed to caring for our patients with purpose and integrity and providing our team members with the support they need. We are looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant. We recognize the hard work and initiative of our Medical Assistants (MAs). MAs providing direct patient care may earn a quarterly bonus up to $500 by meeting or exceeding quality and productivity measures.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant - highly desirable.
- One (1) year as medical assistant in an outpatient health care setting
- Extensive phlebotomy experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Electronic Health Records systems.
Nice To Haves
- Postsecondary technical course(s) helpful, but not required
- Medical Assisting education strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties under the direction of a physician, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse
- Perform phlebotomy, and process specimens for patients of all ages
- Set up medical examination rooms, prepare and administer medications and vaccines
- Obtain vital signs and patient information
- Obtain EKG’s, assist with wound care and minor surgical procedures e.g., removal of benign cyst
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff
- Assist in administrative duties as needed, including handling calls
