Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking
• Medical Office Experience preferred
• Allscripts PM/EMR knowledge preferred
• Surgical scheduling experience preferred
• Experience completing prior authorizations preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients by reviewing patient medical history and taking vitals
• Completes prior authorizations for medications and radiological testing
• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician and Nurse Practitioner
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Document patient information utilizing electronic medical records
• Assists in scheduling patient appointments and surgical scheduling
• Follow the guidelines of HIPAA in maintaining patient confidentiality
• Perform additional administrative duties and projects as needed
