About The Position

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: Join the Vascular Surgery care team as they provide expert screening and treatment for a variety of conditions including peripheral venous disease, peripheral arterial disease, and compartment syndrome. Independently provide basic wound care and assist in advanced care to patients with complex vascular wounds. Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment as well as supporting fellow employees. Participate in the ongoing education of our patients regarding lifestyle changes, wellness, and treatment plans. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following Required Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or Licensure as an LPN or Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
  • Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
  • If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
  • 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
