Medical Assistant – Wellness Clinic
About The Position
IV Nutrition is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Support Technician to join our growing wellness clinic in Los Gatos. This is a hybrid role — you will be the welcoming face of our front desk while also supporting our clinical team in delivering safe, high-quality client care. It’s ideal for a certified or licensed CNA, Medical Assistant (MA), Paramedic, or Phlebotomist who is passionate about health and wellness and thrives in a people-first environment. IV nutrition therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and hydration directly into the bloodstream, allowing for faster absorption and higher bioavailability than oral supplements. These therapies are commonly used to support hydration, energy levels, immune function, recovery, and overall wellness. IV Nutrition enables personalized nutrient delivery based on individual goals, lifestyle, and wellness needs, under clinical supervision. You will split your time between managing the front desk and assisting the supervising RN with client preparation, health screenings, and treatment setup — ensuring every client has a seamless, safe, and memorable experience from the moment they walk in.
Requirements
- Active certification or licensure as a CNA, Medical Assistant (MA), Paramedic, or Phlebotomist in the State of California is required
- Requires at least one year of prior work experience as a CNA, Medical Assistant (MA), Paramedic, Phlebotomist, or any other relevant field.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing, front desk, or client service role is strongly preferred
- Comfortable with scheduling software, point-of-sale systems, and basic computer tools
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to educate clients clearly, warmly, and confidently
- Bubbly, upbeat personality with a genuine love for working with people and being part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, client safety, and infection control best practices
Nice To Haves
- Background in a med spa, infusion clinic, wellness center, or similar setting is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Greet every client warmly, manage check-in and checkout, and ensure a seamless experience start to finish
- Onboard new clients: intake forms, health history, consent forms, and a quick orientation to the clinic
- Educate clients on IV Nutrition’s services — drips, injections, blood testing — including benefits and which options best match their wellness goals
- Conduct clinic tours and present membership and service packages to new and returning clients
- Manage the full appointment calendar: booking, confirming, rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-up outreach
- Answer all calls, texts, and voicemails promptly and professionally
- Process payments, settle accounts, and manage the cash drawer accurately each shift
- Conduct pre-treatment client health screenings: assess vital signs, physical status, and overall pre-service readiness
- Assist the RN in preparing and setting up clients for their treatments
- Support specimen collection and handling for on-site wellness testing panels, per your certification and clinic protocols
- Observe client comfort during and after treatments; promptly communicate any concerns to the supervising RN
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and fully stocked treatment environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
