About The Position
Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is one of the largest medical practices in New England, with locations throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. This physician-led medical group offers primary care, urgent care, and over 30 different specialties. The Medical Assistant role provides basic clinical and clerical support in patient care within the scope of their education, with continued training in all aspects of the role. This position offers the opportunity to travel between locations like Manchester, providing variety and collaboration across multiple teams and communities. Career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder program based on experience, skillsets, and certifications.
Requirements
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space)
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment
Nice To Haves
- Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
