About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides patient care in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital, working under the guidance of physicians and advanced practitioners in a medical office setting. Specific duties and responsibilities will be determined by the supervising physician(s), Clinical Leadership, and Scope of Practice after competency is established.
Requirements
- One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
Nice To Haves
- Prior completion of state required X-ray safety course or begin course within 30 days of employment and complete no later than 90 days, if performed at medical office location.
- CMA or RMA
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in accordance with philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital.
- Works under the guidance of physicians and advanced practitioners in the medical office setting.
- Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), Clinical Leadership, and Scope of Practice after competency is established.
