About The Position

A respected practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support its clinical team in providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, medical knowledge, and a passion for helping patients within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Competency in performing basic life support (BLS) procedures.
• Familiarity with hospital and clinic protocols.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor with attention to detail.
• MediClear Certification (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical staff during patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests.
• Take and record patient vital signs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness, and maintain infection control standards.
• Perform EKGs and assist in other cardiology-related procedures as needed.
• Administer medications under physician supervision in compliance with clinical protocols.
• Educate patients on medication usage, inhalation techniques, and lifestyle guidance.
• Schedule appointments, maintain patient records, and support front-office administrative needs.
• Ensure all patient interactions and data handling comply with HIPAA standards for privacy and healthcare compliance.
