About The Position
The Medical Assistant part-time performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Candidate will assist in a combination of clinical and administrative task. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills required
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- One year of patient care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
- Records or inputs information to patients' medical records.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Assist Nurse Practitioner with virtual visitations.
- Scheduling appointments
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
