About The Position

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Seeking a certified medical assistance who is motivated, organized, and has excellent communications skills. This position supports the daily office functions and operations and works within a multidisciplinary team environment. The position provides assistance to patients for medication refills by phone, patient portal, and pharmacy. Other related duties include obtaining authorizations for medications, faxing, relaying messages to the provider, coordinating appointments, and timely follow-up. The medical assistant gives injections to patients who are routinely scheduled for medication via injection.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required or must obtain BLS Certification within six (6) months of employment date.
