About The Position

This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. No holidays or weekends. Located in the Cancer Treatment Room at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla with travel other sites as needed. Why join Scripps Health? Requirements

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
  • BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • 1 year of experience working as Medical Assistant
  • Oncology experience

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients
  • Checking vitals
  • Assisting with procedures
  • EKGs
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
  • Collecting patient data in person and by phone
  • Stocking and reorganizing supplies
  • Ordering supplies
  • Check in with patients throughout their appointment to ensure they are comfortable for their chemo treatment
