About The Position

The Medical Assistant at CenterWell Senior Primary Care performs clinical duties and collaborates with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver direct patient care. This role involves discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medication/vaccines, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information in electronic medical records. The Medical Assistant is expected to have advanced skills, contribute to process improvement, provide in-depth training, and offer advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants. The position is located onsite at the CenterWell Senior Primary Care office in Mesa, AZ. Requirements

  • Certified or Registered
  • Have phlebotomy experience
  • Have medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • Patient facing and part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communication

Responsibilities
