This position involves a combination of front and back-office responsibilities, requiring someone who is detail-oriented, patient focused, and ready to make a difference.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
BLS Certification required.
MS Office or Google Suite proficiency preferred.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; proficiency in data entry and document scanning.
Customer service experience required.
Team mentality and positive working attitude.
Strong verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires strong multi-tasking skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
1-2 years Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting preferred.
Experience in Allergy/Immunology and Pediatrics preferred.
Procedure training such as PFT, ENO, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

Arrive ahead of the first patient to prepare the clinic and ensure all exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and ready.
Demonstrate understanding of the food dosing strategy and patient plans.
Prepare patient consents and complete chart prep within required timeframes.
Prepare food challenge vehicles for each visit.
Prepare patients for visits, acquire and document vitals, and communicate with providers to ensure an organized patient flow process.
Assist providers with patient schedules and clinical needs.
Maintain a safe food allergy environment by ensuring proper food dosing, reporting errors, and following protocols during patient exercise activities.
Monitor and maintain emergency rescue medication and equip rooms with appropriate supplies.
Measure food doses, as needed.
Verify food dosing and manage supplies received from the Food Lab.
Complete the Food Preparation Checklist weekly.
Perform diagnostic testing, such as skin testing and pulmonary function testing.
Maintain patient records using appropriate applications.
Complete and maintain front and back-office skills and performance competencies.
Complete other duties as assigned.
