About The Position

Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Medical Assistant to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma, WA. Scope Provide medical assistance to adults and children who suffer from mental health illnesses. Perform both clinical and administrative duties. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.

Requirements

Completion of accredited medical assistant program and WA State certification
Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team serving clients with behavioral health needs
Within the scope of practice, administer and monitor psychotropic medications under the supervision as delegated by a licensed registered nurse.
Ensure follow-up on referrals and facilitate continuity of care.
Gather medical history information and vital signs as directed by a registered nurse or prescriber, support licensed nursing and medical staff with medication management as needed including oral and injectable medications as prescribed
Document all medication monitoring and self-medications in EHR program or hard copy Medication Administration Record (MAR) daily by end of shift.
Coordinate ordering and reporting of labs and lab results to prescribers.
Coordinate insurance services/ prior authorizations.
Coordinate community medical integrated healthcare services.
Provide psychoeducation groups related to healthcare and medication to consumers
Maintain medical records and provide reports in accordance with policies and procedures.
