Medical Assistant - Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic (FT/Days, M-F)
About The Position
Performs various patient care tasks and uses non-professional skills to assist the physician in providing care of the patient in an outpatient setting. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse and/or the physician, the Medical Assistant performs delegated tasks and procedures of patient care, involving the physical, psychological, social, emotional, safety, and security needs of the patient. Facilitates the appropriate registration, appropriate documentation for billing/collection purposes and clerical duties that are location specific. This is a safety sensitive position. ZR
Requirements
- Must have High School diploma or GED.
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an MA educational program and/or clinic experience.
