Position Summary As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical team with various clinical and administrative tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in EHR systems.
  • OSHA and HIPAA compliance knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient practices.
  • Familiarity with specific EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, Athena).
  • Experience with patient education and health promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing lab specimens for testing.
  • Manage patient records by accurately inputting information into electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care, ensuring optimal patient flow within the practice.
  • Educate patients on their treatment plans, medication instructions, and preventive care measures.
