Location: 159 Route 25A Suite A Miller Place, NY 11764 Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 6PM, Fridays and Saturdays 8AM - 4PM Specialty: Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus
Requirements
- High school education, GED or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of healthcare experience
- Ability to work Saturday with flexible schedule (8am to 8pm)
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination
- Take patient assessment, medical history, and visual acuity
- Performing diagnostic tests involving the eyes and vision
- Administering Eye Drops
- Maintain and stock all exam rooms
- Clean and maintain all instruments
- Collect and calculate diagnostic data: K readings, refraction, visual fields
- Assist physician in minor office procedures
- Assist patients in obtaining prior authorizations for all procedures and medications
- Return and answer patient phone calls
- Preparing patients’ charts for visit
