This is a non-benefited, per diem position working 12-hr shifts on a varied schedule. Shifts will generally start at 0900, 1100 and 1900. Times will vary as needed.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting
Responsibilities
- Patient transport via wheelchair and gurney to ancillary departments
- Primary responsibilities will include both front and back office duties
- Point of care testing
- EKGs
- Medication passes
- Responding to medical emergencies
