You will be providing DocGo services in New York City by monitoring and providing directed treatment common to complex injuries and illnesses. Each day, you will drive to patients’ homes to provide patient care. While at a patient’s home, engage in guided assessments and provide treatment under the supervision of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for patients facing barriers to accessing the traditional healthcare system Throughout the treatment process, maintain patient medical records and documentation consistent with state regulations, DocGo standards, and policy through our EMR system You will be practicing under direction with synchronous telemedicine support

Requirements

  • Must have one of the following certifications: MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA. (Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant).
  • Valid NY Driver’s License (for at least 2 years) and an acceptable driving record
  • Must have minimum 1 years of recent experience as a MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Active and current American Heart Association BLS
  • Ability to lift 50-60 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital – Critical Care, Family Practice or other relevant areas experience, preferred
  • Clinical work experience with pediatrics, preferred
  • Fluent bilingual English/Spanish, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as a conduit for the medical treatment of the Health Plan Partnerships patient population
  • Navigate conversations related to management of health, well-being, medication management, and goals of care
  • Provide supervised, directed treatment of common medical diagnoses
  • Participate in continuing education as required by the state where you reside and the DocGo training team
  • Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics
  • Provide care with cultural sensitivity and compassion
  • Lead your practice with a patient-centered approach
  • Other related duties as deemed necessary
