About The Position

This role involves clinical and patient care support, including conducting intake interviews, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, administering treatments and vaccines, drawing blood, and performing screening tests under provider direction, ensuring culturally appropriate care. It also includes accurately documenting all patient interactions in the EHR, managing patient communications (calls, tasks, documents), and providing timely follow-up, including scheduling and appointment coordination. The position requires team collaboration, participation in daily huddles, supporting pre-visit planning, mentoring team members, and maintaining exam room cleanliness and supplies while upholding high standards of customer service and respectful communication. Support for Telehealth appointments by coordinating with assigned providers, reviewing schedules, managing virtual waiting rooms, and being available via Skype is also required. Additionally, the role involves traveling to different centers for coverage as needed and adhering strictly to all organizational, regulatory, and accreditation guidelines (Evara Health, HIPAA, HRSA, etc.), supporting quality care and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an approved MA Program
  • Minimum one (1) year as a Medical Assistant
  • Must demonstrate required MA competencies
  • Current CPR / BLS Certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronic health records highly desirable

Responsibilities
