About The Position

At ENT Specialists of North Florida and Meier Plastic Surgery, as a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to promptly complete all activities accurately, and with high quality.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual speaking preferred
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Medical administrative support
• Basic life support certification
• Patient service experience
• Proficiency in EHR systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to perform intake and vital signs
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Plastics and Otolaryngology (ears, nose & throat) preferred
• Experience with pediatrics, adolescents and adults preferred
• OPEN TO RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATES INTERESTED IN MEDICAL ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE PRIOR TO PA OR MED SCHOOL. STUDENTS WITH A GAP YEAR ENCOURAGED TO APPLY

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document medical history in EMR
• Patient vitals
• Prepare and clean examination rooms and medical instruments
• Assist during medical examinations
• Respond to patient inquiries via telephone and the patient portal
• Complete and follow up on provider-assigned tasks
• Follow-up on prescription refill requests
• Restocking examination rooms
• Follow-up on other various tasks as assigned by the Clinical Manager
