Position Summary: Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant is responsible for preforming a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs, venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State. Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Record I accordance with MPA guideline. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients Assists in covering front desk as required General medical procedures Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliations process Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Travels to and works at other facilities are requested Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Familiarity with medical terminology required
  • Experience with patient check in and check out procedures
  • Job required being reliable, responsible, dependable
  • Detailed oriented and thorough in completing work task

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant Certificate strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical experience preferred
