About The Position
Our Float Pool is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are: Flexible 4 to 8 hours shifts Monday - Friday between 8:00am-4:30pm If you are interested in this opportunity and have the desired qualifications, please Apply Now! Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required.
- Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to various CCP locations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
- Maintain timely patient flow.
- Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
- Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
- Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
- Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
- Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
