About The Position

General Purpose of Job:
Working as part of a team to provide quality patient care and assist with the daily functions of the physician and device clinic.
Essential Duties:
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

Requirements

• Six (6) months clinical patient care experience in a multi-physician clinic preferred Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
• High school diploma, GED or successful completion of 12 grades combined with continued enrollment in early college program Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Cardio Tech, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN program.
• Ability to work as part of a team to provide quality patient care.
• Demonstrates a positive team attitude and has inter personal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with clients, families, providers and co-workers.
• Necessary visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient's condition and operate department equipment.
• Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job

Responsibilities

• Assist with patients.
• Enter data in electronic medical record. Prepares patient for examination. Obtains vital signs and chief complaint. Appropriately documents information obtained.
• Maintain/Stock clinic supplies and exam rooms.
• Engages and helps promote patient/family teaching as appropriate; and provides an educational environment for patients and patient families.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and environmental safety as required.
• Provides clerical services as required to maintain an effective practice flow.
• Clerical and other duties assigned by the Manager of Patient Care the essential duties of the job beginning with the most important.
