About The Position
Assists physicians and other health care professionals with a variety of patient ancsite support activities to facilitate nursing care and to improve the delivery of quality patient services under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner (M.D. or D.O). Broward Health is seeking a dynamic and passionate person for our Medical Assistant position to join our team on a grant-funded basis. The grant funded positions are often temporary or project-based, as they depend on the duration of the grant funding. Once the grant period ends or the allocated funds are exhausted, the position may be terminated unless additional funding is secured.
Requirements
- Tech/Trade Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Education specialization
- Emergency Medical Technician Education specialization
- Basic Life Support
- Or 2 years on the job validated training.
- Level II Background Required
