Our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice is located at 7 Marsh Brook Drive in Somersworth, NH. We are one of the largest and most trusted providers of orthopedic care in New Hampshire, with practices in Somersworth, Lee and Portsmouth. We have been a leader in sports medicine for more than 40 years and are the official orthopedists and team physician group for the University of New Hampshire. We are seeking a per diem, Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced Orthopedic team! The operating hours of the office/walk-in clinic are Monday through Friday 8:00am-8:00pm and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00am-1:00pm. The position offers flexibility and does not require set days or hours. In this role, you'll help fill staffing gaps caused by call-outs, vacations, leaves, and vacancies. Job Summary Summary The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
