Location: 170 Benney Ln Suite 200, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620 Hours: M-F 8 am-5 pm (with occasional Saturdays 8 am-12 pm) We need a back office medical assistant to perform the following duties: Effectively check in and prepare patient for office visit/examination/procedures. Correctly obtain vital signs, perform in office procedures/treatments (EKG, spirometry, peak flow, bone density, nebulizer treatments), and relay laboratory test results of any laboratory testing done in office. Correctly obtain patient histories (Medical, Surgical, Social, etc.). Record medication and allergies of individual patients. Assist Physician/Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner with examinations or in office procedures. Correctly prepare and administer immunizations and injections ordered by Physician/Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner. Appropriately monitor patients after injections/vaccinations. Effectively handle incoming phone calls from patients (or pertinent to patients), pharmacies, other physician's offices, testing resources (Radiology, laboratories, etc.), and insurance companies. Accurately notify patients of various test results and communicate appropriate follow up instructions to assure proper course of action is directed. Review refill request from pharmacies and follow in office/assigned doctor's protocol to refill or route refill requests. Clean and sanitize examination/procedure rooms. Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments.
