Travel to fill in for other site occasionally: 5653 Frist Boulevard, #530, Hermitage, TN.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certification or the equivalent preferred.
  • 5 plus years of Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
  • Experience managing front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out.
  • Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
  • Maturity, empathy, and patience.
  • Be special – Not everyone can do what we do.
  • The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Membership in the State and National SGNA recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
  • Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
  • Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
  • Assist in maintaining general medical records.
  • Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
  • Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
