About The Position

Since 1970, Salud has been committed to providing a Medical Home to patients, where medical, dental, behavioral health services, and clinical pharmacists work together and coordinate efforts in a team-based system of care. We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. Your job will be to provide welcoming care to our patients. As a Medical Assistant, your genuine spirit of caring welcomes patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA. You will determine the nature of the patient’s visit and obtain vitals. Your thorough and concise chart documentation will provide clear necessary communication. You will maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.

Current Medical Assistant Certificate
If a Medical Assistant is not certified/registered upon hire, they are required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire. If an employee does not pass, they will be given an additional 3 months to retake the test.
All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, is preferred
Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

Provide welcoming care to our patients
Determine the nature of the patient’s visit
Obtain vitals
Provide thorough and concise chart documentation for clear necessary communication
Maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff
Treat patients with the utmost respect and concern for their physical, emotional, and mental well-being

Benefits

$20.50 to $27 per hr.
Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm
