About The Position

Immediate Opening: Bilingual Medical Assistant II - Pediatric Department Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric team in our Riverton clinic. In this role, you'll work closely with physicians and support staff to provide high-quality patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations. Location: West Jordan and Riverton Clinics - Pediatrics Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Range: $18-$20/hour (based on experience, education, and skill level) Are you a caring, detail-oriented Medical Assistant fluent in Spanish? Position Overview: As a Medical Assistant II in Pediatrics, you'll work closely with physicians and support staff to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • 1-2 years of medical office experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to multitask
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to support others
  • Proficient in English; Spanish fluency strongly preferred
  • Professional verbal and written communication with physicians, staff, and patients
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Repetitive motion from computer and office equipment use
  • Indoor, climate-controlled environment

Responsibilities

  • Telephone triage and parent communication
  • Insurance authorizations and prior approvals
  • Recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, etc.)
  • Administering immunizations
  • Phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Maintaining exam rooms and managing documentation
  • Record patient demographics and manage prior authorizations
  • Prepare patients for exams and provide relevant clinical information
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding appointments and care needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
