Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion from an accredited healthcare training program
- High school diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronic health records
- Experience performing front and back office Medical Assistant duties, including phlebotomy, venipuncture, patient vitals, and EKGs
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from the American Medical Technologists
Responsibilities
- Perform duties within the medical assistant scope of practice to ensure quality patient care
- Complete required documentation in the electronic health record or other modality
- Verify dental, behavioral, and medical health information with outside healthcare organizations
- Conduct office duties, including copying, filing, scanning, scheduling, and document preparation
- Respond to and direct clinical calls effectively and professionally in-person, telephonically, and online
- Maintain confidentiality of all information in all communication and interactions
