About The Position

Harbor Health is a new multi-specialty clinic group in Austin, TX, that utilizes a modern approach to co-create health. The company aims to build a fully integrated system connecting care to a better payment model, focusing on the human being. Medical Assistants (MAs) are central to ensuring smooth clinic operations, with essential duties including client intake, collecting lab specimens, charting in electronic medical records, administering immunizations, assisting with minor procedures, and providing other supportive functions for the clinical team.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Certified Medical Assistant or the ability to renew/apply to be certified
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in primary care or similar clinical exposure
  • CPR Certification
  • Computer skills with the ability to enter information in the E.H.R. system and compile reports or data as requested
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Skill in providing excellent customer service and support
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds
  • Ability to work effectively with managers, co-workers, members of the public and professional groups
  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely with others (internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing), consistently demonstrate positive/proactive customer service attitude

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the clinical team to execute care tasks as ordered by our providers
  • Delivers care in accordance with the member's care plan
  • Completing opening and closing tasks each day to prepare for daily operations
  • Supporting the care team to ensure clients’ needs are met and hand-offs are appropriately conducted
