About The Position

General Purpose of Job: Working as part of a team to provide quality patient care and assist with the daily functions of the physician clinic. Essential Duties: This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates knowledge and maintains and respects patient right to privacy by following the HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures.

  • High School Diploma, (2) GED or (3) the successful completion of twelve grades combined with the continued enrollment in an Early College Program
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardio Tech, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN program OR Course completion of one of the following programs: Medical Assistant, Armed forces medic program OR 6 months documented Medical Assistant experience in similar clinic setting.

  • Ability to work as part of a team to provide quality patient care
  • Demonstrates a positive team attitude and has interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with clients, families, providers, and co-workers
  • Necessary visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient's condition and operate department equipment

Nice To Haves

  • RMA/CMA preferred
  • 6 months of clinical experience preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patients
