About The Position

Medical Assistant Full-Time | $21.00/hour | Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm Location: Mishawaka, IN 46545 About Advanced Pain and Anesthesia Consultants (APAC) Advanced Pain and Anesthesia Consultants (APAC) is a Joint Commission–accredited leader in multidisciplinary pain management, combining innovative interventional procedures, physical therapy, and psychological support to help patients reclaim their lives. The Opportunity This role offers a balanced mix of direct patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced clinical environment. You’ll work closely with providers and patients, helping ensure efficient workflows, accurate documentation, and a compassionate experience at every touchpoint.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, office ethics, and confidentiality standards
  • Understanding of basic clerical procedures, recordkeeping, and filing perception, and focus adjustment

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist practitioners with medical procedures and patient care activities
  • Prepare treatment and examination rooms, equipment, and instruments
  • Assist with patient transfers before and after procedures
  • Prepare, order, and administer medications under physician supervision
  • Provide compassionate support and attention to patients and families
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other clinical data
  • Maintain accurate medical records while ensuring strict confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
  • Complete all assigned annual mandatory training by required deadlines
  • Receive and direct phone calls
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient check-in
  • Obtain required patient information and ensure all forms and consents are completed
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies
  • Stock and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
  • Clean instruments and maintain clinical areas
