About The Position

A trained member of the health care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or Physician. Performs duties for all aspects of care and treatment for the patient population served. Effectively communicates and interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health care team members. Position Accountabilities: Responds to the demands of the changing patient acuity in a positive, efficient manner. Assignment Individual Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for continuous improvement and practices quality service as evidenced through QI results and patient satisfaction surveys. Maintains positive customer relations with patients, families, and co-workers as well as maintain positive team member relations by demonstrating responsibility and accountability for enhancing positive relations. Public Relations Employee Relations Unit Specific Accountabilities Be able to work flexible hours. Be able to work all areas of the Outpatient Department. Completes annual skills validation, maintains competencies and education per Department/Hospital policy. Shows knowledge of new trends and techniques in patient care. Maintain a safe and neat work area. Demonstrate a good working relationship with all Physicians and their respective offices. Assumes total responsibility for assigned clinic, this includes pre and post clinic duties. Delivers direct patient care under the direction of the registered nurse and/or physician. Responds to the demands of changing patient acuity in a positive effectiveness. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for continuous improvement. Practices quality service as evidenced through QI results and patient satisfaction Maintain positive customer relations with all customers of the Outpatient department including patients, families and co-workers. Mains positive team relationships by demonstrating responsibility and accountability by enhancing positive relations. Maintain supplies and report malfunctioning equipment. Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, good computer skills, communication skills – both verbal and written, analytical / problem solving skills, understanding of HIPPA guidelines, demonstrate sterile technique, specimen collection, current CPR certification, maintain patient files and charts, schedule appointments, tests, adn surgeries, ability to interface well with physicians, be a team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assisting Certification Preferred.
