About The Position

Under general supervision, the Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Patient Services Representatives, Front Office Coordinator, Practice Operations Manager, and the Practice Administrator in support of delivering expert medical care to our patients. Day-to-day activities will vary from greeting and interacting with patients, collecting patient intake information, returning phone calls, responding to fax correspondence, performing point-of-care testing, setting up exam rooms and preparing for surgical procedures as well as assisting with surgical procedures all while executing our goal to provide first-rate patient care. Overall, the Medical Assistant has a direct interaction with patients and is an integral component in helping deliver our mission of bringing state-of-the-art expertise and patient care to our clientele.

Requirements

  • Completion of a technical/vocational training school program with either CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification or Emergency Medical Technician certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
  • Medical Assistant experience or equivalent in a high-volume medical setting.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret medical terminology.
  • Scheduling flexibility to work morning/afternoon/evening hours four to five days per week.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service principles.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and balance multiple tasks.
  • Technology proficiency, including EMR/EHR experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities
