About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) provides support to Psychiatrists in various health care settings under the administrative supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse and clinical supervision of the Staff Psychiatrist. The MA is responsible for performing patient-oriented procedures, supporting the mental health care team, communicating effectively with patients and health care team members, and performing administrative duties. The role involves addressing ongoing patient needs and promoting efficient use of health care resources. This position is a limited term of 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or becoming permanent.
