About The Position

CareATC is seeking a Clinical Assistant to provide patient care in a Health Center setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to concierge-level customer service. This role involves greeting and rooming patients, obtaining blood and urine samples, measuring and recording vital signs, and maintaining clean exam rooms. The Clinical Assistant will also handle clerical responsibilities, exhibit good clinical judgment within the scope of the role, and follow all clinical and clerical protocols as per company policy. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
  • One of the following: Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited MA program, or 1 year relevant work experience or on-the-job training in lieu of certification or diploma, Emergency Medical Technician, Military trained medic, Entry through approved CareATC Internship Program or school-sponsored externship program.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical setting is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a current BLS, CPR certification and current health records with the appropriate documentation for immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients.
  • Obtain blood and urine samples, measure and record vital signs, maintain clean exam rooms.
  • Perform clerical responsibilities.
  • Exhibit good clinical judgment within the scope of the role with or without the provider present.
  • Follow all clinical and clerical protocols per company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
