We are currently seeking a few experienced full-time Medical Assistants to work in our Outpatient Cardiology Office.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certification and successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
  • Phlebotomy Training.
  • Medical office experience required.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Superior customer service skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in Ambulatory Care.
  • Proficiency in secondary language.
  • 2-3 years' experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care under the direction of a medical provider.
  • Assist medical providers and maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice.
  • Provide administrative assistance and greet, check-in, and schedule patients.
  • Ensure pre-visit information is reviewed and completed.
  • Collect and document patient medical information.
  • Intake: Chief complaint/History/Medication/Allergies.
  • Take vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, etc.).
  • Perform Point of Care Testing.
  • Document patient rooming and intake in EMR.
  • Review the preventative care needs of the patient and alert the provider.
  • Complete patient care requirements by performing tests and other tasks.
  • Prepare patient for examination by the provider and assist the provider with patient care.
  • Perform EKG's.
  • Perform specimen collection and phlebotomy.
  • Clean and prepare rooms between procedures and patients.
