About The Position

We are seeking a friendly, caring and experienced Medical Assistant for a PRN position. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients of their appointment. Potential candidates for this role should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, required
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program - Certified or Registered MA is preferred
• 2 years experience required, OB/GYN experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records
• Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements
• Bilingual - Spanish a PLUS!

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support to physicians, including assisting with patient care, exams, and treatments.
• Obtain patient history, vitals, and performing phlebotomy; maintaining accurate and timely documentation; preparing, stocking, and sterilizing exam rooms and instruments.
• Manage patient communications, scheduling, and coordination of care, including surgery scheduling and prior authorizations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain patient charts, test results, and flow sheets.
• Demonstrate professionalism under pressure and consistently uphold the organization's standards for customer service and patient satisfaction.
