About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting medical administrative tasks. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients and work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals. In this role, you will facilitate communication between the patient and the provider during patient care, ensuring that pertinent information is collected and shared effectively. You will be responsible for preparing patients for their visits, which includes rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, reviewing intake paperwork, and assisting with various medical procedures. Your duties will also involve maintaining exam room standards, which includes restocking supplies at the end of each clinic day, cleaning rooms and tables as needed, and monitoring biohazard and sharps containers. You will assist the provider in preparing patient prescriptions and completing necessary medical forms, as well as retrieving and responding to voicemails within 24 business hours. Additionally, you will prepare patient electronic charts for clinic visits, verify outstanding testing results, and ensure that patients receive the education indicated by the provider. As a Medical Assistant, you will manage the EMR desktops of assigned providers, create a positive patient experience, and maintain a HIPAA-compliant environment. Your role will also include performing patient service duties such as greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records. You will assist healthcare providers with patient care procedures, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with infection control protocols and assist with basic life support measures in emergency situations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills who can multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
