About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you'll work alongside our Life Changers to provide high-quality patient care. Build meaningful relationships with patients and create a safe, comforting environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• Previous Pediatric experience preferred
• Previous Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedule and patient flow; escort patients to exam rooms
• Gather patient history, take vitals, perform screenings and relay provider instructions
• Assist with mobility, dressing, specimen collection and exam prep
• Answer call, provide patient education and manage front office tasks
• Handle medical records per HIPPA and regulatory guideline; verify insurance and procedures
• Administer injections and vaccines under physician supervision
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and equipment; maintain inventory and infection control standards
• Comply with OSHA, CLIA, PA Dept. of Health, and UPMC policies; ensure confidentiality
• Retrieve lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referrals; complete forms and manage charts
