Job Overview This role assists in the provision of direct patient care by arranging patients for radiological examinations. Produces radiographs (X-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents the patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. In addition, performs routine medical assisting procedures such as administering intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections and performing skin tests, venipunctures, and skin punctures for blood specimens. A Q2Q2-level II position also provides x-ray-related technical support and professional expertise to the units of purchasing and clinical operations.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited radiology program is required.
- Limited Permit in X-ray Technology required.
- Medical Assistant certificate required.
- A minimum of two years of experience is required.
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Three years of experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location preferred.
