The position involves assisting with direct patient care procedures and related tasks, including obtaining patient histories, performing metabolic profiles, and other assigned tasks. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, height, and weight for clients on the inpatient unit as directed by the LPN/RN, providing frequent rounding on clients, and addressing/reporting client needs to LPN/RN as appropriate. The role also includes performing UDS/HCG testing adhering to CLIA standards, maintaining accurate inventory of medicines and medical supplies, supervising self-administered client medication, scheduling and monitoring medication clinic appointments, authorizing drug refills, and obtaining necessary medical information as requested by the medical provider. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining current and accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory and licensure standards.
