Medical Assistant/Wound Tech

The Medical Tech/Wound Tech is responsible for, but not limited to, taking and recording patient vitals, drawing blood and other samples, assisting the physician during exams and treatment, keeping patient charts updated, coordinating patient care, and arranging for labs, tests, and treatment needed during examinations. Requirements
- High School diploma or GED with a current MA certification
- CPR and BLS certification by the American Heart Association
- One year of previous physician or hospital experience
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional time management skills

- Knowledge of medical supplies, order procedures, inventory, and clerical skills is helpful
Responsibilities
- Adhere to HIPAA and company policies and procedures
- Ability to accurately document all information promptly regarding patients and their treatment
- Assist the on-duty provider with administering the highest standard of care possible
- Inform the provider/RN promptly regarding the change in a patient’s health or well-being
- Provide education and training to the patient/patient's family
- Uphold any required certifications or training to properly use all clinical equipment
- Accurately and timely complete all patient records and documentation
