About The Position

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join their Women's Center in Bellegrove. These roles are a vital part of the patient experience, working with providers to offer exceptional care for patients and their families. Overlake Medical Center is a 349-bed, nonprofit regional medical center serving the Puget Sound region, employing nearly 3,000 people and supported by a volunteer board of trustees. It is recognized as the first Level III Trauma Center on the Eastside and is known for award-winning, compassionate, and patient-centered care. The center maintains high standards in medical care and has received numerous regional and national awards. Overlake was founded by community volunteers and continues to rely on volunteer support. The organization also produces a community health needs assessment (CHNA) and Implementation Strategy to outline its contributions to community health services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required (for Medical Assistant)
  • Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or previous military training/experience that satisfies Washington state standards required (for Medical Assistant)
  • Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) through WA State DOH required (for Medical Assistant)
  • Graduate of a licensed practical nurse program or previous military training/experience that satisfies Washington state standards required (for Licensed Practical Nurse)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) through WA State DOH required (for Licensed Practical Nurse)
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required
  • Provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMR applications, EPIC preferred
  • One year of clinic experience preferred (for Licensed Practical Nurse)

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients
