About The Position
This position is for a Medical Assistant with an X-Ray License at CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, located in Westminster, CO. The role is PRN (as needed) and offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.84 to $37.46, depending on experience and qualifications. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. This includes taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, administering IM injections, and conducting x-ray/imaging services as per the provider's orders. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for updating patient charts, collecting patient history, and documenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Additionally, the role may involve applying splints, dressings, and bandages, assisting with patient check-in/check-out, and maintaining records of in-house lab work and drug screens. The CareNow Urgent Care Clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 9 PM, Saturdays from 8 AM to 8 PM, and Sundays from 8 AM to 5 PM. Flexibility to work during these hours is essential. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of clinical experience in a patient care setting, experience with EHR systems, and a high school diploma or equivalent. A graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required, along with a General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license in the state of residency. Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred, and a BLS Certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting the position. Candidates must also obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within three months of employment or promotion.
