Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Graduates of an accredited post-secondary Radiologic Technology program required
  • Oregon LXMO or ARRT (R). Certifications are required upon hire
  • Experience in a medical office setting, 1 year or more preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist patients within the Medical Assistant / X-ray tech scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed provider
  • Daily performance includes full triage, vitals, EKGs, injections, phlebotomy, procedure assistance, occupational physical exams, POC testing, etc.
  • Perform radiographic exams by prepping patients, explaining the procedure, and practicing safety standards to ensure radiation protection and safe operation of the X-ray machine
  • Ensure up-to-date EMR patient records, and provide instructions as directed by the provider
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
  • Maintain clear documentation of all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
